Tongolele

Growing up in Mexico i remember so well seeing this lady on tv while i would watch with my mom Tin-Tan movies. i secretly admired her and i say secretly because tongoleles hair was often made fun of by my mom and brother, yet i thought it was the most glamourous thing in the world and i still liked her after i seen pictures of her as an old lady!! the way she danced her signature African-Cuban dance was terrific. A teaser and you could say burlesque dancer, was born in the united states from Cuban parents later on she moved to mexico when she started working as a burlesque dancer in the 1940's.

Sherry Britton...to die for!!

Sherry Britton is the name, with curves to die for, long hair and a lovely face. This dolly didnt only have the looks but also she had brains. with an IQ of 165 although never attended high school. She was a burlesque dancer during the 30's and 50's and she was also very well known for belly dancing. She was 5'3" tall, with a 18" (46cm) waist. The lady had a body to die for as she once said. Mrs. Britton was married twice and said she was engaged 14 times. She died at age 90 on April 1, 2008.

so what is it about leopard that we love?

Maybe it makes us ladies look elegant and fierce, and i mean literally FIERCE.

Our classy pinup girl of all times Bettie.
The incandescent Blaze Starr.

The unforgettable Ava Gardner.

Sophisticated and elegant Lucille Ball.

Blonde Sensation Jayne Mansfield.
and boy did they rock that leopard print!!

First post...what will this be about?

After all the thinking i did, if i should start blogging or not, I decided I really wanted to. This blog will be about anything vintage, clothes, shoes, hair, makeup, interior design, pinups, modern pinups, recipes and today's fashion with a vintage twist. I am also going to put video tutorials that i will be doing myself and also video tutorials that i find around the internet.
